Congenital heart disease is the term given to heart abnormalities patients are born with. Cardiac catheterisation is the procedure of inserting long thin tubes through the blood vessels in the groin, neck and liver into the heart. Neil will describe the development of cardiac catheterisation from a purely diagnostic procedure to treatment of structural and electrical congenital heart disease (holes in the heart, abnormal heart rhythms, etc.)

This lovely man saved my son’s life 30 years ago. Delighted to hear he is enjoying his retirement
Dear Mr Gallagher,
Very kind of you to post such a nice comment. 30 years is a long time so forgive me if I’m off the mark but is your son’s name Steven?
I hope life is going well for you and your family. Please feel free to reply.
Sincerely
Neil
